Time Destination; Destination

for Violin and Cello

Time Destination; Destination is inspired by an erasure poem created by Brandon Fiksel and myself. The original text is from Virginia Woolf’s “A Room of One’s Own” (1929) of which words were erased until a new poem appears:

Time Destination; Destination

Freedom and comfort – Alien Emotions Born in the bursting mind.

The opposing faction hopes to thrive incandescent;

“opposing faction” a presumptuous creature

By no virtue should desire time, A servile sad chant.
